Herbal Collection

Woodworking | Metalworking | Iron Casting
For as long as I can remember, my grandmother was a big believer in herbal remedies. So, after she passed while I was in college, I turned to the ritual of herbal tea brewing as a way of staying connected to her. I designed a collection of objects that attempts to capture the essence of each of her well-orchestrated steps.

The collection consists of a set of interlocking herb containers specifically designed to allow my herb collection to grow infinitely, a cast iron mortar and pestle that pays homage to my grandmother’s original cast iron set, and a formed brass strainer.
